Hydration on the Go — The Dometic GO 11-Liter Jug & Faucet
If you’re a frequent camper, you understand that single-use plastic bottles of water from the grocery store are anything but the easy way to ensure you’ve packed all the water you need. Investing in a reusable container such as the Dometic GO Hydration Water Jug 11L, is the way to go.
It may not be the most exciting piece of gear to add to your overlanding or camping collection, but once you make the leap, you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner. As someone who values convenience and eco-friendly gear, the Dometic GO Hydration Water Jug 11L and Dometic GO Hydration Water Faucet are proving to be welcome additions to my gear repertoire.
Hydration on the Road
The beauty of the jug and faucet is their sheer utility. Forget about awkward pours and spills; the faucet dispenses a smooth, controlled stream, making everything from refilling water bottles to rinsing dishes and brushing your teeth simple. The jug is sturdy; it’s rectangular shape makes it easy to pack among camping and overlanding gear.
Straightforward to operate, the faucet is charged using an included micro USB cable. According to the manufacturer, one charge can dispense 150L of water. I haven’t been able to sustainably replicate that kind of use to test the claim, but I have no reason to think it’s flawed.

While I appreciate and enjoy the convenience the duo provides, two things didn’t make sense to me: using outdated USB charging, and why a hose longer than 23 inches wasn’t offered, even for an additional cost.
Not long after this review was originally published on November 4, 2025, those questions and more were addressed with the introduction of the Dometic Recon 360 Faucet.

The newest model features welcome mechanical and ergonomic upgrades. The touch sensors have been replaced with easier-to-use push buttons, and the magnetic base has been strengthened to prevent tipping on uneven surfaces. The base can also rotate 360 degrees, preventing the now 40-inch silicone hose from kinking.
There are now also two flow rates that make managing your water supply simpler and prevent water waste. I found the low flow option to be good for activities such as brushing your teeth, while the high flow setting comes in handy when filling a water bottle or washing dishes. An automatic shut-off prevents water waste.
The Recon 360 Faucet also modernizes power management with an industry standard USB-C charging port and a four-stage LED battery indicator, hopefully ensuring you won’t be caught off guard with no juice in the field.

Cost for the Dometic GO Hydration Water Jug 11L is $69.99. It is offered in three colors: Slate, Glacier, and Ash. The Dometic GO Hydration Water Faucet is an additional $99.99. The new Dometic Recon 360 Faucet is an additional $129.99.
